Hello,
I've read over most of the post. My problem with WDM is that it hangs. It starts fine; I add files and then I click the "next" button. That's where my problem starts. The menues thumbnails load fine on the right hand side of the screen; however, the main screen where you are supposed to see a preview of the menu you choose, continues to load (blue circle). I can click on "burn" and a screen pops up stating that DVD Maker is "eccoding" at 0%. It stays there.
I've installed the codecs as directed by users of this forum, other forums and yet other forums. (I don't install third party codecs without uninstalling others... as a matter of fact, I've only installed one sec of codecs that were directed as per this forum). It didn't solve my problem.
So... I checked the problem reports and found that Vista is reporting the error as follows:

I am more than frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
One more thing: I am amazed at the lack of and confusion of Microsoft's / Vista tech forums for support of this issue and others. When you buy a product it should work and so should it's features. This is truly an amazing experience with Vista that I don't ever want to experience again. I just want my computer and it's features to work. I shouldn't have to be posting and pleading for help on forums. It should just work.
