File not valid or is corrupt

Pretty much straight to the point the windows dvd maker is no longer working with .avi files. I've already made two disc with the dvd maker when I was starting on my third disc it gave me this error. I checked to make sure it wasn't the my movie files by trying the previous ones, still getting the error. Which I thought was strange. I have CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) installed. I've already checkedthe other thread about this error

    http://www.windowsdvdmaker.com/forums/thread/100.aspx

I deleted my codec pack and tried the one listed in the thread still nothing so I went ahead and resinstalled cccp. All beyond reinstalling windows I'm not sure if there anything else I can try to do here. If anyone has an idea Id love to hear it.
